DALLAS (April 9, 2018) — Bishop T.D. Jakes, thought-leader and New York Times best-selling author of SOAR, is assembling both national and global leaders for the 2018 International Pastors & Leadership Conference held April 17 – April 21 at The Potter’s House where he serves as senior pastor. Thousands are expected to hear from prominent leaders on topics of social relevance.
Originated in 2015, the Global Think Tanks were designed to offer many of the country’s great thinkers, leaders and voices a platform to safely participate and address some of the most sensitive and salient subjects from a faith point of view. Leveraging startup companies and using entrepreneurs to develop and fund solutions to social, cultural and environmental issues are key focuses of social entrepreneurs. This Global Think Tank will focus on how individuals are responding to it and how citizens can take the steps to change the world and their businesses for the better. Featured panelists include Alfred Edmonds and Dr. Field Harrison.
#MeToo: Sexual Misconduct in the Workplace – Thursday, April 19 at 2 p.m. CDT
What started as a hashtag on social media to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment, in the workplace was soon followed by one of the largest campaigns led by women uniting their voices around the need for reform, accountability and change. This think tank addresses these issues head on and aims to offer tactics for improving the lives of those affected within business and ministries. Moderated by Monique Presley.
